About Me
My name is Sulemis Sanchez, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am passionate about helping individuals feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout their mental health journey. I believe that meaningful care begins with listening, building trust, and creating a space where patients feel comfortable being themselves without judgment.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University and my Master of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from St. Thomas University. My clinical background includes experience in emergency care, where I served as an Assistant Nurse Manager at Coral Gables Hospital, as well as experience in case management. These roles have strengthened my ability to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care while navigating complex clinical situations with compassion and efficiency.
My approach to treatment is collaborative, individualized, and evidence-based. I understand that mental health is deeply personal, and I work closely with each patient to develop a treatment plan that reflects their unique experiences, goals, and needs. I strive to provide care that is not only clinically effective, but also warm, respectful, and centered on the whole person.
Throughout my career, I have been recognized for both clinical excellence and academic achievement, including being honored as Nurse of the Year at Coral Gables Hospital. I was also awarded President’s Honors at Chamberlain University and inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing in recognition of my academic performance, leadership potential, and commitment to the nursing profession.
As a provider, my mission is to make mental health care feel approachable, supportive, and empowering, while helping patients build the tools they need to improve their well-being and overall quality of life.
